This report, noted by the FH Public Affairs Blog from Washington DC, describes how lobbyists in DC are using Twitter to communicate directly with Members of Congress’ ‘blackberries’.

For this to work, you need a critical mass (or at least the key Chairmen and Rapporteurs) on Twitter, so it may not work just yet in Europe.

I militari americani vedono Twitter come un pericoloso sistema di propaganda e diffusione di comunicazioni terroristiche, addirittura un pericolo contro la “sicurezza nazionale”.
Leggendo il documento offerto dal 304o battaglione (Military Intelligence), Twitter é un tool utilizzato soprattutto da: socialisti, comunisti, vegetariani, anarchici, gruppi religiosi, atei, hacker e altri cattivoni.

La scoperta dei militari é sorprendente, Twitter viene utilizzato per comunicare ed inviare messaggi ad un grosso pubblico. Se non lo scrivevano loro non me ne sarei mai accorto.
Come esempio é stato presa l’organizzazione della protesta contro la festa del partito dei repubblicani, dove tutti gli attivisti si sono coordinati attraverso Twitter.

Ieri Messenger, oggi i blog e twitter? Quale sarà  la futura arma di distruzione di massa dei terroristi? La diffusione a catena delle canzoni di Gigi D’Alessio attraverso Blip.fm?

Consiglio in ogni caso di dare un sguardo al documento citato, in alcune parti é addirittura più divertente di Zelig, posto uno degli scenari terroristici possibili:

Scenario1
Terrorist operativ “A ” uses Twitter with(or without) using a cellphone camera/video function to send back messages, and to receive messages, from the rest of his cell.
Operativ “A ” also has a GoogleMaps Twitter Mash Up of where he is under a code word for other members of his cell (if they need more in-depth directions) posted on the WWW that can be viewed from their mobiles.
Other members of his cell receive near real time updates (similar to the movement updates that were sent by activists at the RNC) on how, where, and the number of troops that are moving in order to conduct an ambus.
