Sun Microsystems announced this morning that it has agreed to acquire open source database leader MySQL AB for $1 billion in cash and assumed stock options.

Se si pensa che MySQL esiste sul mercato da circa 14 anni e che é una delle banche dati più popolari e diffusi al mondo, si può tranquillamente affermare che la SUN sta mettendo le mani sulle banche dati di migliaia di piccole e medie imprese, e se non commette errori, si potrà  coprire d’oro.
